Residents to stage protest against CBC, DHA

Karachi, 31st August: After the torrential rains wreaked havoc in the port city Karachi, residents of the Defence Housing Authority (DHA), and Clifton area have expressed their grief and demanded action against the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC).

According to the report of Baaghi TV,  residents of the DHA and Clifton area in Karachi have protested against the CBC for their gross negligence in not providing water to the residents, in spite of collecting high amounts of charges and taxes.

The protest aimed to hold CBC responsible for not providing the residents with the proper supply of water tankers, despite taking all the due amount and taxes.

People have been complaining before too, going to the Cantonment office but the office has shown no response in listening to their complaints.

In a video message received by Baaghi TV, the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi has announced that the residents will carry out their protest in front of the CBC office to report the shortage of water.

Dr. Arif Alvi can be seen stating that the residents have the complete right to stage a protest in order to voice their concerns against the negligence of the CBC and that no one should stop them from exercising this right.

Reportedly the residents of DHA and Clifton have protested an hour ago against the negligence, and had also demanded that those responsible should be held accountable.
