A coup case against Nawaz Sharif to begin

Lahore, 11th October: An investigation has been launched into the case registered against Nawaz Sharif. It has been decided not to take action against the other N-league leaders nominated in the case while four important provisions of the FIR have also been deleted.

According to Investigation Police Spokesperson Sheikh Imran Anwar:

A special investigation team set up by the order of Inspector General of Police Punjab has started the investigation of case no. 3033/20 registered against the PML-N leadership in Shahdara police station by a citizen named Badar Rashid.

The Special Investigation Team, while investigating according to its TORs, has recorded the statement of the plaintiff in the first case.

Following this, in view of the FIR and the statement of the plaintiff, the Special Investigation Team has deleted 4 sections which are inconsistent with the text of the FIR.

The provisions of the deleted provisions include propaganda or conspiracy against Pakistan, condemnation or denial of decisions on national integrity, pressure on the ruling government leadership and attempts to provoke a confrontation between the two groups.

The Special Investigation Team, after looking at the FIR, the plaintiff’s statement and the two video statements, came to the conclusion that the charges against the accused in the case.

Among them are Raja Zafarul Haq, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Khurram Dastgir, Center General Retired Abul Qayyum, Saleem Zia Sindh, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Salahuddin Tirmidhi, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Ahsan Iqbal, Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, Pervez Rashid, Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah, Begum Najma Hameed, Begum Zakia Shah Nawaz, Tariq Razzaq Chaudhry, Sardar Yaqub Nisar, Nawabzada Genghis Murree, Muftah Ismail, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Muhammad Zubair, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Mehtab Abbasi, Mian Javed Latif, Maryam Aurangzeb, Attaullah Tarar, Chaudhry Burjis Tahir, Chaudhry Muhammad Jaffar Iqbal, Azmi Bukhari, Shaista Pervaiz Malik, Saira Afzal Tarar, Begum Ishrat Ashraf, Waheed Alam, Raheela Durrani Balochistan, Daniel Aziz, Raja Farooq Haider, and Khawaja Sadar Rafique.

It has been decided not to continue legal proceedings against Amir Muqam and Irfan Siddiqui due to lack of complete evidence of support.

There are still eight more clauses in the lawsuit, including conspiracy to create an atmosphere of anarchy against the country, and incitement to close people and the public through electronic media.

It may be recalled that a case of mutiny against Nawaz Sharif and other N-League leaders has been registered in Shahdara police station in Lahore.
