A woman had robbers arrested with help of Facebook

Lahore, 15th June: Social media App Facebook became beneficial when a woman helped in arresting two robbers through it. A woman named Saba in the Punjab capital got arrested two dacoits who entered her house with the help of Facebook.

According to ARY News correspondent, two dacoits entered a house located within the limits of Faisal Town police station in Lahore with the intention of looting.

A woman named Saba was upstairs in the house when she heard resistance from the family’s robbers. The woman locked the door of her room and shared her status on Facebook saying, “Robbers have entered my house.”

Saba’s friends and other relatives read the post and informed the police about the incident through the helpline, after which a heavy contingent of Faisal Town police station reached the spot and cordoned off the house. After half an hour of negotiations, the two robbers were arrested and a case was registered against them.

“I closed the door of my room after hearing the voices and immediately shared what happened to me on Facebook because I never thought of calling the police helpline 15,” Saba said.

۔”They were knocking on my room door but I didn’t open it. All I had in mind was to somehow protect my family from the robbers,” she said.

The woman said that when she shared the status, her sister and friends read her status and reported it to the police at 15.

Shortly afterward, a call was received from Faisal Town police station. Later, a large contingent of police arrived and surrounded our house.

Locust Attacks All Over Pakistan

According to SP Faisal Town, “We received a call about the incident on the 15th. As soon as we got the information, the police rushed to the spot and foiled the robbery and arrested the two robbers and registered a case.”

He said that helpline 15 had received a report that two robbers had entered a house and were looting the family.

SHO Faisal Town took immediate action and accompanied the personnel to the spot.

According to SP Faisal Town, the SHO cordoned off the house and held talks with the robbers. After half an hour of talks, the robbers agreed to make an arrest.
