AC Fake accounts case hearing adjourned

Islamabad, September 08, (Online): Asif Zardari plea seeking dismissal of NAB Thatta water supply contracts and fake accounts case could not be argued due to absence of defense counsel.

The case was heard by Judge Azam Khan of Accountability Court (AC) Room No. 2.

While in another reference of mega money laundering, the petition filed against the confiscation of Asif Ali Zardari’s house in Clifton also could not be heard.

Asif Zardari’s house in Clifton was confiscated by NAB, NAB had taken the position that Asif Zardari’s house was built with the money of corruption and money laundering.

On which Asif Zardari had approached the accountability court against the NAB move.

The court granted the adjournment on request of Farooq Naik’s assistant counsel.

The hearing of the case was adjourned till September 17.
