May 10, 2021: According to the report of Baaghi TV, as the month of Ramadan is coming to an end, the blessed days are coming to an end, Eid is coming, so the Afghan Taliban have declared a three-day ceasefire on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Afghan Taliban spokesman Mohammad Naeem says all gunmen have been ordered to stop attacks on the eve of Eid al-Fitr. The Afghan Taliban will not take any action during Eid. The festival can be celebrated in a peaceful and safe environment Abdullah Abdullah, head of the Afghan Reconciliation Council, welcomed the ceasefire by the Afghan Taliban and said the government would soon formally declare a ceasefire.
It should be noted that the Afghan Taliban had declared a ceasefire on the occasion of Eid last year as well. The announcement of a ceasefire by the Afghan Taliban has been appreciated and it has been termed as a step towards peace.
