After her father, Deepika Padukone also tests positive for COVID-19
Lahore, 4th May: Ace Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has tested positive for coronavirus.
According to the latest reports from Indian media, leading actress Deepika Padukone has tested for COVID-19, after her father contracted the virus.
The news comes right after the confirmation that her father, the international Badminton player Prakash Padukone has tested positive and been shifted to a hospital in Bengaluru.
The actress is yet to make the official announcement.

The news has been shared by Vimal Kumar who is a close friend and director of the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy (PPBA).
According to reports, besides her father, Deepika’s mother Ujjala Padukone and sister Anisha have also tested positive and are currently under treatment.
Vimal Kumar informed that around 10 days back Prakash, his wife and youngest daughter developed symptoms and got themselves tested. The results came out positive.
It was further revealed that the family isolated themselves immediately, but Prakash’s fever didn’t come down, hence, he had to be taken to a hospital. His wife and daughter Anisha are quarantined at home and doing fine.
Prakash Padukone’s health is better now and all his parameters are under control, after which he will be discharged from the hospital soon.
According to reports, Deepika Padukone and her husband Ranveer Singh flew down to Bengaluru to meet Deepika’s family last month before the lockdown started.
However, they stayed indoors, but the news is circulating that Deepika has also been infected with the virus. It is still not known whether Ranveer Singh has been exposed to the virus or not.
