
Lahore, 16th March: New vaccination centres will be functional from tomorrow in Pakistan.
Baaghi TV: According to reports,15 mass vaccination centres will be opened across the country in order to expedite the anti-COVID vaccination process from Thursday, March 17.
As per reports, the mass vaccination centres will be established in the top 15 COVID-19 affected cities. These cities where the government has planned to establish mass vaccination centres include Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Multan, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Abbottabad and Mansehra.
As per reports, the Islamabad administration has decided to establish a mass vaccination centre at Isolation Hospital and Infectious Treatment Centre (IHITC).
At the Islamabad Isolation Hospital, around 4000 people would be vaccinated against coronavirus on daily basis. Reportedly, the vaccination centre will have 40 counters, 9 observation beds, 18 big and 12 small rooms.
Moreover, 3 doctors and 6 nurses will perform duties in the Islamabad vaccination centre.
The National Command Operations Centre (NCOC) approved the establishment of the mass vaccination centres after the decision to set up an anti-COVID inoculation centre at the Lahore Expo Centre, where the drive is achieving successful results.
It is pertinent to mention here that for the first time now, Pakistan has purchased coronavirus vaccines fro China.
According to sources, the first batch of 0.5 million Sinopharm vaccines from China will arrive in the country today.
