All Turkish hospitals and air ambulances to serve Lebanese people
ANKARA: Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay has said that Turkey will continue to support Beirut until the situation returns to normal.
According to Turkish media, when Turkish Vice President Oktay arrived in Beirut, he was welcomed by Lebanese Foreign Minister, Turkish Ambassador to Beirut, Turkish Disaster and Emergency Situations Chairman Mehmet Güllüoglu.
“We have told the Lebanese president that we are ready to provide more food and medical supplies, and we will continue to do so,” he told reporters after meeting with President Michel Naeem Aoun.

He said that all Turkish hospitals and air ambulances are ready to serve the Lebanese people. Until the port of Beirut is reopened for services, the Turkish port of Mersin will remain open for Lebanese services.
Oktay added that Turkey’s services are also involved in the reconstruction of the severely damaged port of Beirut and surrounding buildings.
The Turkish Vice President also reviewed the relief efforts of the Turkish Red Crescent and Disaster and Emergency Management Agency teams.
