Explosions in six different countries including Lebanon in last 36 hours: Report

Lahore: According to reports, six major explosions have occurred across the globe in the last 36 hours. These include Lebanon, China, France, UAE and others.

According to the reports of Baaghi TV,  major explosions have been reported in Wuhan-China, Najaf-Iraq, Ajman-UAE, North Korea, Marseilles-France and Beirut-Lebanon, in the past 36 hours.

The explosion near Wuhan, China on August 3rd killed 6 people while four were reported as injured. The explosion occurred in a chemical factory in Xiantao City. The case in currently under investigation.

A fire broke out in Najaf, Iraq on August 5th in a food and electrical warehouse as firefighters attempted to contain the fire. Another massive fire broke out in the evening of August 5th in market of Ajman in UAE which is approximately 50 km from Dubai. It is still not confirmed as to what caused the fire. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

Several deaths reported in a gas explosion in a North Korean city along the Chinese Border. The explosion occurred on August 3. Officials from both countries, North Korea and China, have yet to confirm the incident.

About 2,700 people have been evacuated to escape forest fires that were raging across a vast area near the southern French city of Marseilles on August 5. No casualties have been reported but many buildings and other material has been reported damaged.

A massive blast at the Beirut port on August 4, has damaged buildings and blown-out windows and doors of the houses. Some local TV stations reported the blast was at Beirut’s port inside an area where fireworks were stored. The explosion took place at a warehouse in Beirut, Lebanon. However, some news channels have reported that it was a nitrate storage facility.

Lebanon’s Health Minister says that the explosion has caused a very high number of injuries in the city and hundreds have been wounded. The Minister also informed that there is huge damage reported.

The witnesses of the explosion have revealed that there was a huge blast that has destroyed half of the city. According to earlier reports, there could be hundreds or thousands of injuries and no concrete statistics on number of casualties.

As per sources, the hospitals in the capital have become full and doctors have called for blood and volunteers. The explosion has killed at least 135 people and injured 5,000 others till now, according to reports of Baaghi TV.

Among those killed was Nazar Najarain, secretary general of Lebanon’s Khatib party, while the condition of dozens of injured was critical, leading to fears of an increase in the death toll.

Rescue and search operations are under way in the vicinity of the Beirut port as several people are feared buried under the rubble and hundreds are missing.

According to foreign media sources, the blasts were so severe that the windows of buildings were shattered at a distance of 24 km.
