Amid PTM, foreign elements are exploiting sentiments of people: COAS

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday said that Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) itself was not an issue, nonetheless, couple of people playing in outside hands were by configuration abusing slants and sentiments of the general population.

The comments by the military chief came amid his communication with understudies of different colleges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the Corps Auditorium in Peshawar, as per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The COAS said that Pakistan was honored with dynamic and capable youth and eventual fate of the nation lied in their hands. He said the Pakistani country and its military had worked superbly battling against psychological operations of enemies and terrorism.

“Now is the ideal time  to have its profits through financial improvement and socio-economic developments in which education is most significant,” General Bajwa said.

Alluding to the PTM, he said the association itself was not an issue, including, “The issues being featured are certified”.

The COAS said that a couple of people playing in outside hands were by configuration abusing slants of the general population, who had really experienced psychological oppression and required consideration now.

He said that both government and the security powers were attempting to address real issues of the tribals, paying little respect to where they originate from.

On the event, the students communicated their full help and support for Pakistan military. They said they would be patrons and not by-standers to splendid fate of Pakistan, and won’t be influenced by depreciators of any kind.
