Lahore, 30th October: Another petition has been filed against Ayaz Sadiq for treason.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, a petition was filed against former Speaker National Assembly, PML-N leader Ayaz Sadiq in Lahore for treason.
A citizen has filed a petition with the Civil Lines Police stating that the petitioner does not belong to any political party. On October 29, at 7 pm, he was watching a TV program in which Ayaz Sadiq’s statement broadcasted and he was speaking in favour of the Indian Army and was making false propaganda against our Army Chief and the Pakistani Army.
The petitioner said that according to his intellect, Ayaz Sadiq was playing the role of an Indian agent and he was openly attacking the security and dignity of Pakistan which falls under the category of treason. The petition seeks registration of a treason case against Ayaz Sadiq.
On the other hand, the police have received the application.
It is to be noted that Ayaz Sadiq had made a statement in the National Assembly yesterday regarding the release of the Indian pilot Abhinandan on which DG ISPR had also given a press conference. Later, the action was also demanded against Ayaz Sadiq on social media.
Earlier, a citizen in Islamabad had filed a treason case against Ayaz Sadiq.
The petition states that Sohaib Shabbir, a citizen of Islamabad, has filed a petition at Sihala police station, alleging that Ayaz Sadiq committed treason and made statements which have tarnished the image of national institutions.
PML-N leader Ayaz Sadiq said in a video statement that his statement regarding Abhinandan was distorted on Indian media.
