Lahore: Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment Thursday arrested for backing land-grabbers.

Asad Rasheed Butt, former tehsildar of Mouza Ganj Tehsil Shalimar, was arrested from Lahore allegedly for facilitating land grabbers enabling them to grab nine kanals of government land worth Rs 27 crore.

Later, the accused also provided assistance to the land mafia in constructing a plaza on government land.
Anti-Corruption Lahore Region arrested the accused after the allegations against him were proved after investigation.
It is also learned from the sources that the aforesaid Tehsildar used to humiliate the complianents in spite of taking huge bribe from them for many months for their legitimate deeds and especially in passing the inheritance transfers.
The sources added that the accused used to take work which was also the legitimate right of these heirs, in which he would put an end to humiliation and also demanded huge bribe for other transfers and markings through his car specials which he had kept as his thugs.
He also used to disrespect the complianents and take huge bribes from them.
The sources also say that during the rule of PMLN, the accused used to show himself as a close relative of his the rulers.
