Deputy Director Immigration of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) suspended the ASI of immigration department Rana Akbar on the allegations of bribery launched by passengers.
The action was taken after a passengers launched complaint against the accused of taking illegal money for the accomplishment of the process on airport by a passenger named Abdul Shakoor.
He received the amount of 460 United Arab Emirates (UAE) Dirhams frolm passenger.
The victim had filed a formal complaint against the ASI on the basis of which investigations were initiated. The investigation proved the allegation right for which, the officer was suspended by DD of department. The amount was taken after threatening the passenger to have registered FIR against him.
Abdul Shakoor arrived Pakistan after the rejection of plea for shelter at South Africa. Further investigation will be taken according to the rules and regulations, assured the Deputy Director.
ASI Rana Akbar was blacklisted earlier in 2017 also, on the same accusation of receiving bribery.
