Rawalpindi, 27th November: Azerbaijani Ambassador congratulated General Asif Ghafoor on his promotion in a very interesting manner.
According to reports, Ambassador of Azerbaijan Ali Alizada congratulated former DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor on his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant-General.
Azerbaijan’s ambassador Ali Alizadeh in a tweet said, “Congratulations Lieutenant GeneralAsif Gafoor for your promotion and all the best wishes.”

He shared an old dance video of the general where he can be seen dancing in a traditional style with the soldiers.
Similarly, yesterday the famous Romanian singer Adrian Sina from the band ‘Akcent’ also congratulated General Asif Ghafoor and penned down a heartfelt note on his Twitter account:

It may be recalled that 6 Major Generals of Pakistan Army were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Generals. Among those who were promoted were Major General Asif Ghafoor, Major General Akhtar Nawaz, Major General Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat, Major General Salman Fayyaz Ghani, Major General Sarfraz Ali and Major General Muhammad Ali.
