According to the World Health Organization these are the viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe respiratory diseases. Signs of the infection include fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, it can lead to pneumonia, multiple organ failure and even death.

The incubation period of this disease is estimated to be ranging from 5 to 14 days (the amount of time between infection and the onset of symptoms).  Chinese health authorities have said, the elderly, men and people suffering from diseases are more at a risk of catching this virus.

Coronavirus: A major setback to Chinese Tourism Industry

Global health officials have cautiously voiced that the daily rate of the infection from coronavirus has declined for two days in a row in China. World Health Organization, however, has shown concern stating that the decline could reverse and the disease could start spreading among people outside China.

It has spread to more than 20 other countries including the U.S., the U.K., Singapore, France, Russia, Spain and India.

Many countries, including Turkey, have evacuated their citizens from the city of Wuhan and other affected areas of China, placing them under quarantine and monitoring.
