Bahria Town sealed due to surging Coronavirus cases
Lahore, 9th April: With the surging number of novel coronavirus cases in Pakistan, Lahore being the hardest hit city with newly detected virus cases in a town.
According to reports oof Baaghi TV, Bahria Town Lahore has been sealed after new cases of coronavirus came to notice to the health authorities.
Senior journalist Sabir Shah said in a video on YouTube that many guards of Bahria Town were shifted to the hospital due to the coronavirus where they were diagnosed positive.
The business tycoon Malik Riaz, owner of Bharia town, tweeted on his Twitter handle that many people have been infected with the virus from Bahria Town and he has conducted their tests himself, as the test is very expensive costing around Rs 8,000.

Sabir Shah further said that the police have sealed Bahria Town and declared it a Red Zone. More than 60 cases have been reported in Bahria Town Lahore. Out of these 60 cases, 19 people are Malik Riaz’s personal security guards and 20 guards are those who are on duty at the town’s check posts.
It is considerate of Malik Riaz to carry out their tests himself and he has done his social duty in doing so. If such a number is found from one town only then what could be the situation of the whole city or the country?
Sabir Shah further informed that the police had sealed the roundabout going to Bahria Town. People coming and going to Bahria Town are now faced with confusion as before this they were easily roaming about and carrying out their daily chores. Now all of sudden they are being checked and restricted to leave the premises.
It has been observed that around 8 to 10 people are getting off a car and people are easy going about buying the grocery and fruits and vegetables, and not following any restrictions of a lockdown imposed by the government. Rather people are seen complaining about the area being sealed that what is the use of a lockdown if it is meant to create panic and upset people’s routine?
Coronavirus: Lockdown in Punjab to tighten and extend
The senior journalist, Sabir Shah, makes a suggestion to the government to close everything, put curfew for the next two months as the virus will spread rapidly in Lahore over the next two weeks.
It is being informed that 1 million test kits will reach Pakistan tomorrow. People have been sitting at home for weeks and they need to get tested, only then the actual figure can be known to the authorities. Next 15 days are very crucial for the country in regards to the deadly pandemic and the increase in the unemployment seen on the roads.
Sabir Shah urges the Prime Minister and Chief Minister to take notice of the situation and put a curfew in the country, ending the drama of a lockdown, which instead of solving the situation is damaging our health and employment sector.
