According to Baaghi TV, the hearing of the Bani Gala delimitation case in the Supreme Court has been adjourned till October 28th.
Justice Omar Ata Bandial, while giving remarks during the hearing, said that the case should be taken up in the civil court, on which the lawyer said that the decision of the civil court was in favor of the private owners.

The Court said that keeping in view the public interest, the Court wants to close the case soon and offer verdict. The Court sought a report from the Survey of Pakistan within 15 days. Justice Omar Ata Bandial ordered that the forests of Bani Gala be protected.

It should be noted that in the Bani Gala encroachment case, the CDA and the Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad have submitted their reports to the Supreme Court. CDA’s lawyer told the court that the sites for the sewage and water treatment plants have been selected. Land has also been selected for waste disposal and dumping sites, on which Justice Omar Ata Bandial remarked that if the sites have been selected, hand them over to the MCI. Work on underground sewerage lines should also be completed soon.
