#MeToo: Biggest Lie of the Century

LAHORE (13th Oct, 2019): #MeToo campaign has been used as an awareness program to curb crimes against women but the campaign is been hijacked by some individuals for personal vendetta.

According to details, some individuals have used #MeToo campaign for personal vendetta. In 2018, Amber Heard used #MeToo to manipulate the world and demonise her husband, Johnny Depp. Depp who is a superstar in Hollywood was verbally and physically assaulted by Amber Heard after 15 months of marriage.

Former Football star Brian Banks, served five years and two months in prison for a rape he did not commit. The star football player was convicted of raping a woman who confessed on Facebook.

#MeToo leader Asia Argento accused of raping 17 year old boy. Reportedly, months after publicly accusing Harvey Weinstein of rape, Argento agreed to make payments to Bennett after he accused her of sexual assault.

Lesbian fantasist, Jemma Beale invented 15 rapes and sexual assaults which saw man jailed to get sympathy from girlfriends. In 2017, Jemma Beale was jailed for 10 years for making wrong sexual assault allegations against 15 men.

Reportedly, many people have committed suicide after false sexual harassment allegations in several parts of the world. Mexican rockstar, Armando Vega Gil committed suicide after he was accused of #MeToo. The singer reportedly posted a suicide letter on his social media, stated that he was falsely alleged of mistreatment.

Moreover, Swedish businessman, Benny Fredriksson also committed suicide after sexual harassment allegations. News of his suicide came after Sweden’s Aftonbladet printed anonymous accusations that he was a “little Hitler” who bullied staff during his 16 years as head of company.

#MeToo In India and Pakistan:

#MeToo campaign has also picked up in India and Pakistan creating allegations against some of the most famous celebrities including Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, film director Hi rani from India and renowned Pakistani singer Ali Zafar and others.

Reportedly, celebrity hairstylist, Sapna Bhavnani made false harassment allegations to attack Amitabh Bachchan.

Indian most respected film director Raju Hirani was also targeted. He had been accused of sexual assault by a woman who worked with him in his 2018 film Sanju.

In Pakistan, the Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar case which started the #MeToo movement in Pakistan since the last few years. Upon the courts dismissal of Shafi’s harassment case, Zafar filed a case of defamation against his colleague and long time friend.

Hassaan Niazi claims Meesha Shafi, Nighat Dad threatening him with #MeToo movement.

It was reported that Shafi filed another case while Zafar’s case hearings proceeded. As per reports, Meesha Shafi’s latest case against Zafar has also been rejected by the court.
