Bilawal Zardari to protest against the GB elections

Gilgit, 16th November: Bilawal Zardari’s spokesman has said that the attempts to turn the victory of the PPP candidates into a defeat are a slap in the face to the administration.

Bilawal’s spokesman said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) workers are protesting outside the office of the Returning Officer in Ghizr against rigging.

Earlier, Bilawal Zardari had announced to protest against the rigging of Gilgit-Baltistan elections.

In a message on social networking site Twitter, Bilawal Zardari said that my election was stolen, I will soon join the protests of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.

It is to be noted that the initial results of the GB elections are out and according to the results, people have stamped on the Bat and PTI has taken the maximum seat number of 9.

According to unconfirmed unofficial results of 23 seats, the independent candidate won 7 seats and the PPP won 4 seats. PML-N won 2 seats and PTI’s ally MWM won one seat.

Former PML-N and PPP chief ministers Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman and Mehdi Shah have also lost the elections. The PTI’s position to form a government in Gilgit-Baltistan has become stronger.
