Bill Gates applauds Pakistan as a COVID-19 success story

Lahore, 10th August: American business magnate Bill Gates applauds Pakistan for its successful battle against the global pandemic COVID19.

According to reports by Baaghi TV, American philanthropist Bill Gates has lauded Pakistan as a COVID-19 success story and compared it to the situation in Europe.

Gates expressed his opinions on CNN’s show GPS with the interviewer Fareed Zakaria.

Gates endorsed Pakistan’s COVID-19 policies and said India’s policies don’t look great, and also compared it to South America in terms of its coronavirus growth.

PTI’s official Twitter page wrote, “Today on CNN, @BillGates shared his views about COVID-19 response and stats of Pakistan & India. Pakistan’s numbers are coming down while India’s numbers are going up. This is the difference between PM Imran Khan (a visionary leader) & @narendramodi (a politician who preaches hate).”

Earlier in a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Imran Khan, Bill Gates lauded Pakistan’s efforts in the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has been intermittently putting lockdowns and smart lockdowns across the country to combat the coronavirus situation keeping in mind the poverty rate of the nation.

COVID-19: Government warns the public once again

Bill Gates shared his views on the COVID-19 pandemic with Fareed Zakaria on CNN’s GPS. During the discussion, the coronavirus toll in India and Pakistan was brought up, at which Bill Gates said that the condition in Pakistan has improved like Europe & numbers are going down.

In a Bloomberg interview, last week Gates said he’s funded vaccine development efforts by AstraZeneca Plc, Johnson & Johnson, and Novavax Inc.
