Boeing 737 plane makes emergency landing in Hawaii

A Boeing 737-200 cargo airplane with two people on board made an emergency landing in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Honolulu after pilots reported engine trouble.

According to the details, the United States (US) Coast Guard rescued both crew members after the incident that happened about 2 miles off Kalaeloa Airport.

“The pilots had reported engine trouble and were attempting to return to Honolulu when they were forced to land the aircraft in the water,” the FAA said in a statement.

Both crew members were taken to Queens Medical Center, Honolulu for treatment.

Transair Flight 810 was “attempting to return to Honolulu when they were forced to land the aircraft in the water” at about 2:30 am local time, an FAA spokeswoman said in a statement.
