Brad Pitt granted joint custody of kids with Angelina Jolie

Lahore, 27th May: Hollywood star Brad Pitt has been granted joint custody of his children with ex-wife Angelina Jolie.

According to reports from BBC News, Hollywood A-Lister Brad Pitt now shares joint custody with former wife and superstar Angelina Jolie after a long battle in the American court.

After Pitt’s lawyers filed the custody documents in court, a California judge ruled in favor of Brad Pitt allowing him a significant time to spend with his children.

According to reports, a private judge was appointed by Brad Pitt who said that the existing custody ruling must be modified as per Mr Pitt’s request.

The judge found that Angelina Jolie’s declaration lacked credibility in many important areas and said that her bid to challenge the new custody proceeding would be harmful to the children who would be denied stability in life.

According to the US media reports, the original custody agreement was never made public, however, it has been reported that Brad Pitt wants equal custody, while Angelina Jolie seeks sole custody of their children.

A source told AFP on Wednesday that the judge has modified the customary order to increase Brad Pitt’s time with the kids, although the order is still not verified.

It is pertinent to mention here that the high-profile couple formally got divorced two years ago after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce in 2016.

Since then, the couple has been engaged in a lengthy custody battle over six children, three adopted and three biological kids.

Brad Pitt, 57 and Jolie, 45 are parents to Maddox, 19, who is not subjected to the custody settlement, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12.

The celebrity pair, once known as ‘Brangelina’ had been a couple since 2004 after starring in the movie ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’. They got married in France in 2014.
