CAA decides to outsource pilot license exams to British company

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to outsource pilot license exams to a United Kingdom (UK) company.

Under the agreement, CAA will pay millions of pounds to the British company for the pilot license exams, which will increase the fee for pilot license exams.

According to the details, CAA has completed preparations to award pilot license exams to the UK CAA.

According to CAA sources, under the proposed agreement, the British CAA will conduct licensing tests for Pakistani pilots.

Pilots will have to pay the fee in British pounds instead of Pakistani currency. Moreover, the l ocal flying schools oppose contracting pilot licensing tests to British Company.

Flying Schools Management says flying course is already expensive and now contracting British company will further increase exam fees, the flying schools have demanded a review of the agreement.

A Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority spokesman did not respond when asked about the details of the agreement with the British CAA.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) had directed the CAA to suspend pilot license exams after Federal Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan’s statement on fake pilot licenses. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is also investigating the fake pilot license case.
