Cabinet Committee on Anti-Coronation proposes smart testing of teachers before the opening of educational institutions.

According to the reports of Baaghi TV, a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Anti-Corona was held at the Chief Minister’s House under the chairmanship of Provincial Law Minister, Raja Basharat.

Provincial Ministers Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, Mian Aslam Iqbal and Hashim Javan Bakht attended the meeting. Chief Secretary Punjab, IG Punjab, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Secretary Specialized Health, Secretary Primary Health and heads of relevant departments also attended the meeting.

The meeting was briefed that the number of new victims and deaths of corona in Punjab is decreasing.

Punjab Provincial Law Minister, Raja Basharat said that, the steps taken by Chief Minister, Usman Bazdar, and the Punjab government to reduce the number of Corona cases in the province were commendable. Care must be taken to maintain the graph of reduction and complete elimination.

Raja Basharat further said that Corona SOPs in cattle markets should be strictly enforced and illegal markets in alleys should be eliminated, effective media awareness campaign should also be launched on implementation of SOPs in cattle markets, Health Department should prepare SOPs for Eid-ul-Adha prayers and sacrificial gatherings.

The committee agreed with the proposal for smart testing of teachers in August before the opening of educational institutions in September. Raja Basharat said that the health department should also prepare SOPs for possible entrance tests for medical colleges. And test laboratories have also played a valuable role, with corona as well as dengue prevention measures needed to be taken.

The committee considered various possibilities and aspects to revive the economy and employment affected by the Corona. The proposal to open hotels, wedding halls and tourist centers with conditions and SOPs was also considered to provide more relief to the traders. Agreed with the proposal to start negotiations with trade associations to fix SOPs and conditions.
