Chinese Ambassador meets Army Chief General Bajwa

His Excellency Mr Nong Rong, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at the General Headquarters (GHQ), today.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation, bilateral cooperation in various fields and update on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) were discussed.

According to the details, COAS thanked the Ambassador for unwavering Chinese support extended to Pakistan during testing times of pandemic.

FM Qureshi holds telephonic conversation with US counterpart

Ambassador appreciated and acknowledged Pakistan’s positive role in the region and pledged to play his role for further improvement in diplomatic cooperation between both countries.

It is pertinent to mention here that the COAS also met a special Qatari envoy at the GHQ today where they discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security situation including recent updates on Afghan situation, facilitation of reconciliation process in Afghanistan and cooperation in various fields.
