US citizens to celebrate Independence Day with caution

The United States (US) marked its Independence Day amid a surge in coronavirus cases, and many events have been cancelled.

In this regard, officials and experts have warned citizens to reduce the number of Independence Day celebrations in view of the growing number of coronavirus victims.

In the US, coastal areas have been closed, parades have been cancelled and fireworks have been stopped because of the risk of spreading the virus due to large crowds.

As of Friday, 57,562 new victims had been confirmed.

Even in a tourist destination like Florida, 11,458 victims were confirmed on Saturday. A one-week curfew has been imposed on Miami Beach and everyone is required to wear a mask.

Despite a security warning issued by the mayor of Washington, President Trump is holding a big party at the White House inviting doctors and nurses involved in the prevention of COVID-19.
