CM resigns before leaving the country
Lahore, 14th December: A Chief Minister has resigned and left the country.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, the resignation of members of the National and Provincial Assemblies by the coalition of opposition parties, PDM, is continuing.
PPP had demanded resignation from Sindh Assembly members after which Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah submitted his resignation in writing to the Chairman Secretariat.
Sindh Chief Minister submitted his resignation before leaving for the US. So far, 60 members of the PPP Sindh Assembly have submitted their resignations.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in his resignation took a stand that the Chief Minister and the membership are the trusts of the party.
Opposition parties have decided to resign from the assemblies and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had directed the MLAs of opposition parties to submit their resignations to their leadership by December 31.
It may be recalled that the PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had announced a long march at the end of January or early February at a meeting in Lahore yesterday and said that he would take his resignation with him.
On the other hand, opposition MPs, including PML-N, are continuing to submit resignations to the party leadership. Nawaz Sharif had also said in his address that party leaders should submit their resignations and hand over to Maulana Fazlur Rehman when needed.
