COAS arrives in Qatar on an important visit

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived in Qatar on an important visit. Important meetings with Qatari generals and rulers were held. According to reports, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived in Qatar on a two-day official visit.

Upon his arrival in Qatar, the COAS also had important talks with the Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Atiyah, and the Minister of Defense, Lt. Gen. Ghadam bin Shaheen, Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces.

During the meetings, mutual interests, defense and security co-operation and regional issues were discussed. On the occasion, the COAS said that the two countries have a long history of cordial relations and a deep spirit of brotherhood, which is turning into a lasting partnership.

On the occasion, COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa also appreciated the role of Qatar in the Afghan peace process.

According to ISPR, in these meetings, the Qatari generals and senior government officials also appreciated Pakistan’s continued efforts for peace and stability in the region and pledged to continue working for better relations between the two brotherly countries. Both sides stressed the importance of further enhancing cooperation in all fields.
