Coronavirus: Court orders Ministers to visit Wuhan

Islamabad (28th Feb, 2020): Two to four ministers should visit the Chinese city of Wuhan, the students must be brought back; Court orders.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the hearing on the petition for the return of Pakistani students from China in the Islamabad High Court has been adjourned till March 6th, 2020.

During the hearing, the court expressed its disappointment at the Health Ministry’s representative. Reportedly, Representative Ministry of Health said that we have constituted a committee to provide all possible support to the parents. Chief Justice, Athar Manullah, said that the committee should not tell why the government is irresponsible. All the work can not be done only by the Directorate General of Foreign Affairs, parents are complaining repeatedly that the government is not listening to us.

Court rejects plea to cancel ISPR’s ‘Ehd-e-Wafa’

Chief Justice Islamabad High Court [IHC] Athar Manullah, said that resolving the issue was the work of the Federal Cabinet, not the State Department. He argued why not have two to four Federal Ministers visit the city of Wuhan in China?

The additional Attorney General said that the cabinet meeting awaits what decision is made. the chief justice told the Foreign Ministry that the court appreciates your work.

The parents of Pakistani students trapped in China told the trial court that there is a clear difference between the children and the government’s position in China. The Chief Justice argued that this is a serious situation in which the government of Pakistan has to decide. Moreover, parents have urged the court to have the Prime Minister appear before the court.

The court ordered that the Cabinet Secretary, Assistant Special Overseas and Advisory meet with the concerned parents and the parents’ four-member lawyers team so that a potent solution can be worked out.

China reports 29 more virus deaths, lowest since January

Corona virus outbreaks are ongoing worldwide, with the death toll reaching 2,858 as per latest reports.

The number of Corona virus victims has reached 83,379. On the other hand, the death toll from the new deadly Corona virus has begun to decline in China.

Corona virus has also started to spread rapidly in the world. 256 people have been infected with the Corona virus in South Korea, followed by the number of affected persons 2,222, so far 214 cases of the virus have been reported in Japan. In Italy, 250 more cases of the Corona virus were reported in 24 hours, bringing the total number to 655.
