Coronavirus: Nadia Jamil speaks up for students rights
Lahore, (17th Feb, 2020): Today a Pakistani TV actor Nadia Jamil has made an appeal through her video on the social media, to the Government about the Pakistani students stuck in China.
Nadia Jamil, who is a Pakistani citizen, a teacher, an anchor and a child protection worker, opens up in her recent video, that she is very embarrassed right now after having a one to one conversation with the children who are stuck in China due to coronavirus. She said:
[bs-quote quote=”I was listening from all around about the news related to the Pakistani students in China and their plight, but was not able to comprehend the real problem they were facing. My conscious was absolutely numb.” style=”style-8″ align=”center” color=”#dd0000″ author_name=”Nadia Jamil” author_job=”Pakistani Actress & Children’s Rights Activist”][/bs-quote]
She was quite emotional in saying that the students in Wuhan are quite afraid and panicked, they think that they have been abandoned over there to get killed at the hands of this epidemic. These kids have their parents over here who are extremely distressed on this situation and feel help less. She gets teary eyed thinking about those children and their state at a place where there is a an outbreak of a deadly virus.
Nadia Jamil wants some answers to her queries, she says to evacuate these students as soon as possible and get them quarantined.
She raises some serious questions.
[bs-quote quote=”Where will these kids get checked for their health? Is there any place prepared for them?” style=”style-8″ align=”center” color=”#dd0000″ author_name=”Nadia Jamil” author_job=”Pakistani Actress & Children’s Rights Activist “][/bs-quote]
Her second question is for the Pakistan Army which has always stood and supported the public on relief efforts, she asks for the Army’s involvement in this scenario.
Her third question is about the arrangements done to bring back those students. She has mentioned that other countries have sent their special jets to evacuate their citizens, what has Pakistan planned about bringing back more than 1300 students?
[bs-quote quote=”It must be kept in mind that these students who have been under a lock down since many days are going into stress and deep depression.” style=”style-8″ align=”center” color=”#dd0000″ author_name=”Baaghi TV”][/bs-quote]
She has appealed to the government, Pakistan’s politicians, the Pakistan Army and all the media and the artists to think about those people and strive to bring them back. We should not think of abandoning them in China. For this Nadia Jamil shares the following hashtag in her video: #IWillNotAbondonPakistanisInChina.
She is awaiting a good news of all the arrangements been made and is in hope to get a final date to bring those students back in their country safe.
