Lahore, 27th Feb: According to the reports of Baaghi TV, on the out break of coronavirus globally, Pakistan has also become alert and is taking possible safety measures.
Coronavirus, which originated in Wuhan, a city in China, last year in December, has now become a world wide issue and is spreading rapidly in more than 34 countries.
It has effected more than 80,000 people globally and more than 2,700 people have been killed in China so far, according to the reports of World Health Organization [WHO].
Pakistan has come under threat on Wednesday, when a 22 year old boy was tested positive of this virus in Karachi. He is being kept in isolation and his whole family quarantined as per latest reports.
Coronavirus: First case reported positive in Karachi
In view of this situation, the Punjab government is taking precautionary steps to control the spread of this disease and not to create fear among public. They have created helplines to report the symptoms, or any person who is in need of help regarding the disease.
According to the Punjab Chief Minister, Usman Buzdar, Punjab Government has taken all possible steps to check the coronavirus and are setting up special wards at the major hospitals and are creating related SOPs. Doctors and nurses are being given special training in this regard, tests and screening facilities are being made available for the public.
Usman Buzdar, today tweeted on his Twitter account to facilitate the people in regard of the coronavirus outbreak.
