Islamabad, 23rd March: With the increasing number of coronavirus in Pakistan and the addition of 70 more cases in Punjab, the total toll has reached 757 yesterday in the country.

According to a spokesman for the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department and Corona Monitoring Room in Punjab, 222 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Punjab so far.

According to the data, 153 Zaireen, 36 in Lahore, 1in Multan, 2 in Rawalpindi, 3 in Gujrat, 3 in Jhelum and 4 in Gujranwala have been infected with the coronavirus. The victims are being admitted to the isolation wards.

According to the sources, a person died of the coronavirus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after which the death toll in the province has reached 3 and the total death toll in the country is 4 now.

COVID-19: 245 cases in Sindh put Karachi in lockdown

On the other hand, according to the Sindh Health Department, out of 41 new cases, 18 cases were reported in Karachi, out of which 4 had traveled abroad, 2 victims had returned from the UK and 2 from Turkey.

According to the latest data, the 14 other cases reported from Karachi are locals with no foreign travel record. The other 23 reported cases are from Sukkur, who are visitors from Iran.

Coronavirus confirmed cases in the country were registered from Sindh province is 39, 56 from Punjab, 12 from Balochistan, 8 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 34 from Gilgit-Baltistan.

In addition, 5 people across the country have recovered after being subjected to the virus.

Chief Minister KP’s Information Minister Ajmal Wazir confirmed the death of one person due to the coronavirus in the country on Sunday. The death toll has risen to 3 after which the total number of deaths in the country has reached 4.
