Court summons Cynthia D Richie
Lahore, 9th June: Islamabad court has summoned the American blogger Cynthia D Richie on charges against the late Pakistan People’s Party leader and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. According to Baaghi TV, Islamabad Additional Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani, as a duty judge, heard the application for registration of a case against Cynthia Richie, an American citizen. Petitioner PPP Islamabad President Shakeel Abbasi took the position that the American woman made baseless allegations against former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. A case should be registered against her. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has opposed the lawsuit against Cynthia de Richie. The FIA told the court that the court would also have to look into whether the petitioners were directly affected, to which Judge Ata Rabbani remarked that it was not your job to look into the matter. Richie is also called to the next hearing. FIA files reply to Cynthia D.
