COVID-19: Lucman urges to adhere to self-quarantine method

Lahore, 10th April: The renowned anchorperson, Mubasher Lucman, has warned his fellow citizens to be aware of the pandemic crisis which is spreading rapidly in Pakistan now.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, Mubasher Lucman, in his latest YouTube video, pointed to an important and worrying issue, saying that we have invoked a calamity that will cost us dearly, without proper lockdown.

He stated that the people have been walking around the markets from nine in the morning to five in the morning as if the virus is asleep during this time. He said that the Chinese model would have to be adopted if we want to control the spread of the epidemic.

Speaking of our irresponsible behaviour, Lucman said that he had informed in one of his first videos that the virus will die down till the 15th of April, but after observing the careless behaviour of our people the number of infected patients is seen on the rise.

He also informed that a team of Chinese expert doctors has visited our country and they have submitted their report according to which one in every ten people in Pakistan are testing positive, however in Xinjiang, China the rate is 1 in 100.

Lucman states, when Chinese doctors analyzed the visitors coming from Iran, 50% of them have tested positive and 15% of patients are from Pakistan’s religious gathering.

He said that our Prime Minister has also said that if we do not take precautions, our health system will fail. Chinese experts have urged the government of Pakistan to increase its testing capabilities and lock people down.

A telecom company has surveyed that 33% of Pakistanis do not go out during the lockdown. 10% of these go out less than once a week, and 14% of these go out once a week. 11% go out in two to five days, 16% leave home in two days. On asking about their whereabouts, 77% said taking household goods and 49% said taking medicines, 15% just go out to meet friends and relatives.

He pointed out that our leaders are showing non-serious attitude in this matter and are seen without face masks even in big meetings. So how can people take the situation seriously?

“We suffer from the fact that we have a strong immune system. This mistake was made first by Iran and then by the US and Europe and now they are being affected the most by the outbreak,” he said.

According to the senior anchor, there are only two models in front of us: One is to overcome this disease by adopting China’s method and the other is the Chinese method adopted by European countries. Those who defeated the disease by full lockdown overcame the disease within 73 days with unity and determination.

Praising the Chinese administration, Mubasher Lucman said that they acted timely and with strict curfew they fought the disease and came out triumphant. Europe, on the other hand, displayed carelessness and took it as light flu and common cold and now their situation is in front of the whole world.

Mubasher Lucman emphasized that our government and public should be careful and must act upon the Chinese model.

He urges us to not to get out of the house because the cure for this disease is not yet discovered and only self-quarantine can slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. We all must show solidarity by acting strictly on it.
