According to Baaghi TV, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s chairman, Corona Task Force Committee on Science and Technology, Dr. Ata-ur-Rehman, has stressed the need for local vaccine development to curb the growing cases of Corona virus in the country.

Speaking to a private TV channel, Dr. Ata-ur-Rehman said that scientists around the world, especially in European countries, have observed a change in the new wave of corona virus. He revealed that more than 200 companies are currently developing vaccines to deal with the new virus. It will take time for the vaccine to become authentic and see its effects on people’s health, scientists at the university are examining the mutations in the virus.

Dr Ata-ur-Rehman said that Pakistan would import vaccines to protect people from the deadly virus. The country needs to promote research-based work so that our scientists can develop vaccines locally.
