Lahore, 15th April: With the increased usage of internet services all over Pakistan, the users are facing the problem of disrupted internet services for many days.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the users have filed their complaints to the internet service providers for the slow and at times unavailable net services.

It has been reported that due to the increased usage of internet services, the lines in the SMW-5 international submarine cables are facing the pressure. This optical fiber, submarine international communication cables carry telecommunications between the countries providing them with internet services.

At this time the issue has not been resolved and the users can face some problems in the internet browsing quality and the connectivity issue due to the heightened online traffic caused by the nation-wide lockdown.

COVID-19: Failure of a total lockdown may spike the virus cases

While PTA or PTCL have not confirmed an issue as of yet according to official social media accounts, multiple users from Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore have reported that they experienced slow internet speeds and ISPs across the country have confirmed the issue to their users.

Due to the on-going pandemic issue nation-wide, people are working from home and many companies are operating work-from-home policy, so the current issue is very unfortunate at this time of need.

We hope that the internet issue gets resolved soon and the world get rids of the pandemic in the near future.
