New Delhi: After 38,164 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in India in a day taking the total number of infections to 31,144,229. At the same time, after the death of 499 more people due to infection, taking the total death toll to 414,108. According to the updated data released by Union Health Ministry, the number of patients under treatment for COVID-19 in the country has also come down to 421,665, which is 1.35 percent of the total cases. There has been a total reduction of 995 in the number of patients under treatment in the last 24 hours. However, the rate of recovery of patients is 97.32 percent. According to the data, a total of 445,422,256 samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far, out of which 1,463,593 samples were tested on Sunday.
