COVID-19: As the cases drop so is the price of masks and sanitizers

Lahore, 31st August: After a steady decrease in the number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan, there is a decrease in the prices of face masks and hand sanitizers.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, as COVID-19 cases continue to decline in Pakistan, the prices of sanitizers and masks have also gone down in some parts of the country.

In Quetta, prices have fallen to their pre-COVID rates. A packet containing 50 masks is being sold now for Rs 300-400, as opposed to the price of Rs1500-1200 it was being sold for when Pakistan was reporting hundreds of COVID-19 cases daily.

During the epidemic in Karachi, the price of the surgical face mask had reached Rs. 55, after which the price of 100 packets of surgical fee mask had reached Rs 5,500.

However, now the price of a packet of 100 surgical face masks costs Rs 2000.

In Karachi, the price of hand sanitizers had gone up to Rs 1,200 a liter, which has now come down to Rs 450 a liter, while the price of Dr. Kits during the epidemic was Rs 1,200 which is now Rs 550.

Prices of masks and sanitizers have fallen in the rest of the country. People have stopped wearing masks after a clear decline in corona cases, which has led to a drop in demand for masks.
