COVID-19: Government offices closed in Punjab

Lahore, 19th March: According to the reports of Baaghi TV, the Punjab government has declared to close down the entry of public in the government offices to stop the spread of the coronavirus in the country. 

As per the reports, the government employees are now prevented from coming to the office, only the important people of the essential departments will come to the office. This step has been taken keeping in view the rise in the spread of the virus in the country.

The Punjab Government has issued a notification to close the shops, shopping malls, hotels, and restaurants at ten o’clock, pharmacy and grocery stores will remain open as usual.

All public parks in Punjab have also been closed; a notification has been issued for closure of tourist spots across Punjab, including Murree, in this regard.

On the other hand, the number of people affected by the coronavirus in the country has reached 307, and 2 people have been reported to die in Pakistan due to this virus, one was from Mardan and the other from Hnagu area.

The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Punjab is 33, 23 in Balochistan, 19 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 8 in Islamabad and one in Azad Kashmir.

The number of patients has reached 208 across Sindh. Keeping in view the growing prevalence of coronavirus in Sindh, Commissioner Karachi has requested the federal government to set up an isolation center and field hospital at the Expo Center, which the federal government has agreed to and the coronavirus test kits have also been provided at SIUT.
