COVID-19: India records 41806 new cases, 581 deaths

India recorded 581 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the fatality count to 4,11,989.

The country recorded 41,806 new coronavirus infections in a single day, lowest daily count in 118 days, pushing the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 3,09,87,880, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday.

The active number of Covid-19 cases in the country is 4,32,041 while 3,01,43,850 people have recovered from the virus so far.

So far, the world has reported 189,180,805 Covid-19 cases since the pandemic broke with 4,074,590 deaths. The US remains the worst-hit country, followed by India, Brazil, France and Russia.
