Kuwait: Pertaining to Coronavirus fears, the government has implemented lockdown in some parts while complete curfew in others for at least 20 days.
According to reports, the Kuwaiti government has announced a ten-day nationwide curfew in the face of increasingly reported cases of the coronavirus.

According to Arab media reports, Kuwait’s Information Minister announced on a social networking site that the curfew would take effect on Sunday, May 10, from 4 pm to 30 May. He said the curfew was imposed in view of the growing number of cases of COVID-19. So, that people stay at home and the virus spreads to a minimum. The Information Minister further said that more announcements regarding curfew would be made soon.
It may be recalled that Kuwait had announced a 16-hour nationwide curfew from April 20th. Later, its duration was further extended, however, during which time some departments and agencies were allowed to operate between 4 pm to 8 pm. The total number of cases has reportedly reached 7,208 after 641 new cases were reported in Kuwait. Moreover, the death toll has also risen to 47.
