According to a Baaghi TV report, the second wave of corona continues in Pakistan. There is a steady increase in number of cases and deaths.
According to the NCOC, the corona virus has killed 71 more people in Pakistan. While another 2,729 new patients have emerged.
The death toll from Corona in Pakistan has risen to 8,724, while the total number of affected people has reached 435,056. In Pakistan, 381,208 patients of Corona have recovered and 45,124 are undergoing treatment.
The highest number of deaths due to COVID-19, occurred in Punjab where 3,320 people lost their lives. Meanwhile, 3,132 people have lost their lives in Sindh, 1,455 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 358 in Islamabad, 98 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 173 in Balochistan and 188 in Azad Kashmir.
The number of Corona cases in Islamabad is 34,300, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 51,404, in Sindh 1,92,735, in Punjab 1,26,526, in Balochistan 17,696, in Azad Kashmir 7,620 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4,775.
Nationwide, the number of positive cases of corona virus has risen to 7.9%. Karachi Corona positive case rate is 17.39%. According to the NCOC, the positive case rate in Hyderabad was 18.43%. Azad Kashmir has 10.83%, Balochistan 11.62%, Gilgit-Baltistan 2.68%, Islamabad 6.16%, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 11.29% and Sindh 11.47%.
Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant for Health, said that the second wave of corona virus has gradually started in Pakistan. To deal with the second wave, SOPs will have to be strictly adhered to. By taking precautions we can deal with the second wave of corona.
