COVID-19 numbers continue to spike in Pakistan

The second wave of Corona virus is continuing to affect people across Pakistan. An increase in the number of patients is followed by reports of 56 more deaths.
According to Baaghi TV, the second wave of Corona virus continues in Pakistan. There is a steady increase in patients and deaths. In the last 24 hours, 56 more people have lost their lives in Pakistan from Corona while another 3,138 people have been affected.
According to the NCOC, the death toll from Corona in Pakistan has reached 8,603. However, the total number of affected people has reached 429,280. In Pakistan, 374,301 patients of Corona have recovered and 46,376 are undergoing treatment.
Most deaths have occurred in Punjab, due to Corona, where 3,265 people have lost their lives. While 3,099 people have lost their lives in Sindh, 1,439 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 348 in Islamabad, 98 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 171 in Balochistan and 183 in Azad Kashmir.
The number of corona cases in Islamabad is 33,695, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 50,762, in Sindh 1,089,687, in Punjab 1,25,250, in Balochistan 17,604, in Azad Kashmir 7,517 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4,765 people have been infected with Corona.
According to the NCOC, the rate of positive cases of corona virus has risen to 7.9% nationwide. Karachi Corona positive case rate is 17.39%. The rate of positive cases in Hyderabad was 18.43%. Azad Kashmir has 10.83%, Balochistan 11.62%, Gilgit-Baltistan 2.68%, Islamabad 6.16%, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 11.29% and Sindh 11.47%.
Special Assistant for Health, Dr. Faisal Sultan said that the second wave of corona virus has gradually started in Pakistan. To deal with the second wave, SOPs will have to be strictly adhered to. By taking precautions we can deal with the second wave of corona.
