COVID-19 outbreak in UK gets worse; 43K active cases

COVID-19: More than 43000 cases of the virus have been reported in the United Kingdom (UK) by the health sector.

The number of deaths increases to 148, this Saturday. Public Health England states that almost 10,833 deaths happened within 28 days because of COVID-19 since October.

5.4% increase has been reported in the positivity rate of COVID-19 on the seven days prior. Saturday is marked as the fourth continuous day of cases being reported daily are more than 40,000.

The government has given a figure of 8.4 million cases and 138,000 deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 28 days.
