COVID-19: Pakistani actress shares special message for the public

Lahore (25th Mar, 2020): Pakistani actress, Madiha Iftikhar, shares special video message to help raise awareness against the novel Coronavirus, identified as COVID-19. 

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the Pakistani actress has recently shared a special message to raise awareness about the measures one can take to protect oneself from getting infected by the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19. In a video shared on her social media account, the actress used sign language as she simultaneously spoke, to make it easier for the deaf community in Pakistan to understand her message.

Iftikhar whose father is reportedly deaf, has always been an advocate for the rights of people with similar deficiencies.

Taking to Instagram, the actress stated that combating Coronavirus is in our hands, and that we must carefully wash our hands for approximately twenty seconds. Iftikhar added, that we should refrain from shaking hands with each other ad well as from hugging one another.

She also stressed that people should stay at home as a representative of Pakistan. She further captioned the post with the disclaimer that her video is meant to be a “a public service message for covid-19 through sign language for those people who are deaf and mute.”
