COVID-19: Public transport gets banned amid an alarming rise in cases

Lahore, 30th March: In view of an alarming increase in COVID-19 cases in Punjab, the transport department has suspended all public transport in the province.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the Punjab Public Transport Department has announced on Tuesday to halt all types of public transport in Lahore and 9 other cities.

According to reports, a notification has been issued by the transport department stating that the Orange Line Metro Train, Metro Bus Service, Speedo buses, intra-city buses, coaster services, taxi, rickshaw, and Chingchi rickshaw will stop their services.

The transport authorities will soon start a crackdown against those who violate the government orders.

It is to be noted that on Monday Punjab government announced to ban all social gatherings and weddings, both indoor and outdoor from April 1. It has also been decided to close all markets and shopping malls at 6 pm.
