According to reports of Baaghi TV, important decisions have been finalized in the meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Punjab, Major (R) Azam Suleiman, after the extension in Lockdown.

Reportedly, the nation-wide Lockdown has been extended in Punjab till the 25th of April, 2020. It has also been decided to immediately open the low risk areas in the province. Chemicals, IT companies, plumbers, carpenters, electricians have been exempted from the closure.

It has been decided to open teller shops, veterinary services, real estate and property dealer offices. Stationery and bookstore shops, glass making units, paper and packaging, nurseries will also be exempted from ban. Minerals, buildings and road construction, brick kilns will not be banned.

Moreover, Architects and engineers have decided to start road construction, open industries and shops will be obliged to implement Corona virus prevention SOPs. The ban on public transport will remain. Labor and other people will have to manage private means of transportation.

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan has extended a two-week lockdown across the country at the wishes of Chief Minister Sindh. Prime Minister Imran Khan while addressing the National Coordination Committee meeting said that after the outbreak of Coronavirus, a lockdown was decided all over the world including Pakistan. He stresses that, we followed lockdown in the most difficult of times which forced the poorer class to face severe difficulties.
