COVID-19: Seven more Pakistani cricketers test positive

Lahore, 23rd June: With the widespread of coronavirus in Pakistan many important personalities are falling victim to the disease, and adding to the recent list is our cricket players.

According to Baaghi TV, now seven more members of the Pakistan squad cricket team have turned positive for COVID-19.

As per the reports, seven cricketers and one squad’s support staff have tested positive. The players who have fallen victim to the disease are Fakhar Zaman, Imran Khan, Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan, and Wahab Riaz.

Three Pakistani cricket players tested positive for coronavirus

Earlier, three players have already tested positive from the first batch of tests on Sunday, raising doubts over the team’s scheduled departure for Manchester on 28 June ahead of the Test and Twenty20 series against England.

However, Pakistan cricket board’s chief executive, Wasim Khan, insisted: “The tour to England is very much on track and the side will depart as per schedule on 28 June.”

AS per sources, the pre-departure training camp of the Pakistan cricket team got canceled owing to the increase in the coronavirus cases, but the team is now planned to touch down in the UK and head straight into a biosecure county venue for quarantine and initial training.
