As per reports, the traditional headwear or “shemagh” worn by the crown prince is being widely discussed on Arab social media.
Reports from the Arab News inform that it was a Kashmiri Shahtoosh shawl that costs $746 (2,800 SAR).
Not only his headwear has sparked a style storm online, but netizens have also gone wild over a quilted gilet worn by Mohammed bin Salman while chairing Sunday’s board meeting of the Public Investment Fund.
35-year-old prince, who is popularly known as MBS too, showed off a $6,551 casual sleeveless vest by UK luxury cashmere brand Frank Namani.
The stylish royal went for the “Tobacco/Emeraude” colour combination from the label’s Fall/Winter 2020-2021 collection, featuring a camel-brown outer juxtaposed with a bright teal-hued lining and delicate teal piping on the collar.
Following MBS’s Kashmiri shawl hysteria, Kashmiri handicrafts are gaining recognition in the Arab world.
