Dead body of Jessica on Ventilator, and attempts to sell it….

CAA declared it’s last financials of 2017 since than there is nothing on their web site with regards to the financial health of this organization.

It runs at its own with the will and wish of it’s learned employees but very interesting fact now is that it runs headlessly as the government is not serious about appointing the head. May be it’s too lucrative for some in the Ministry or the Govt itself. As they couldn’t install the choice candidate now it seems that a revised advertisement will be published on the pre text that a suitable candidate was not found and they will revise the criteria as per their new “SUITABLE”, please take a note that the age will be revised from 57 as was published the last time to 60 years.

What deters the Aviation Business in Pakistan as No One Killed Jessica?

Last time the “NO GO” for some candidates for top Aviation slot was a “Degree in Aviation” as the “SUITABLE” had some other degree.

Without realizing where this govt is taking us in Aviation Industry it is just killing us like the slow poison. Imagine a country not only without the Head of the regulatory but system failure speaks miles that from Minister till five positions below no one know how to save Jessica as they don’t know the “A” of the “Aviation Industry” and either do not have any degree or hold a Degree in Public Management” let the experience be from the far fetched things of unknown. The minister could be good at “Chakri” but no “Chakkar” works in Aviation Industry.

The Aviation Secretary could be a master in Public Management but it is not a herd and a shepherd is not required. From there onwards it is the DG CAA for which no one on this earth qualifies and an Additional DG from Air Force who has been posted but his notification is being held back, wonderful isn’t it?

The regulatory affairs have gone down to dogs right from various air crashes where we are constantly managing to kill innocent Pakistanis and despite various and serious reminders on our flight safety issues from 2017 from EASA, EU are regularly trying to cover up and are unable to follow the needed standards as no one in the hierarchy knows what to do?

We have already placed the dead body of Jessica on Ventilator and now our efforts are not less than an attempt even to sell her dead body as different regulators in the world and the ICAO itself is in doubt as to how we are handling the state of affairs in Aviation and have even stopped us from issuing the new Pilot Licenses.

Probably the interest for those who come on certain appointments is the big dollars that CAA makes that too by virtue of the geographical location of Pakistan and has nothing to do with any kind of efficiency or professionalism. Yes, it is because various airlines overfly Pakistan Air Space and they have to pay the Air Navigation charges since there is no other option for them. Otherwise where professionalism is involved we have brought our industry to knees.

Mr. Prime Minister now I am directly addressing you, please take a note of deteriorated state of the Aviation Industry and appoint technocrats immediately in Aviation Division and for God Sake appoint a DG CAA for which the process was completed on 14 October 2020. Similarly, we do not need a Minister of Aviation if no one qualifies for the job from the elected but an experienced and exuberant Advisor or SAPM who can represent the country the world over and get us out of the fix. A doomed industry which is capable of creating many jobs and the economic activity without the COVID19 has been put on “Ventilator”.
